Guernsey and Jersey – the focus for MJ Abbott’s construction and irrigation teams in 2024.
MJ Abbott have been busy on the island of Guernsey, working with European Golf Design on the redevelopment of La Grande Mare, and installing a replacement Toro fairway irrigation system for both Royal Guernsey and L’Ancresse Golf Club. Weather, ground conditions and a choppy English Channel presented significant challenges throughout these projects, however the dedication and problem solving of all the teams involved made sure the work continued as soon as conditions allowed.
A stark contrast in ground conditions, the team are back at La Moye Golf Club on Jersey, where the original Rain Bird irrigation system is being extended to incorporate the new holes and for speed of recovery on fairway areas.
