New SISGrass hybrid turf training pitches for the Magpies
MJ Abbott have constructed all first team hybrid training pitches at the club’s training ground.
The following scope of works was carried out in accordance with the specification produced by PSD:
- Removal and disposal of 450mm depth of existing pitch profile, including original fibre surface
- Cut and fill earthworks and re-grading to tie pitches in to surrounding areas
- Installation of new drainage, irrigation and undersoil heating systems
- Installation of gravel raft, lower sand and upper rootzone to complete the hybrid profile
- Installation of amendments, preparation and seeding of pitch surface
- Installation of SISGrass hybrid pitch reinforcement system
- Construction of synthetic Teqball area and landscaping.
