New country park for prestigious housing development
The scope of work included for the construction of a 50 hectare country park from redundant farmland. The country park forms part of a prestigious housing development created by Berkeley Homes.
The project consisted of the following scope of works:
- 70,000m³ of cut and fill earthworks including engineered fill to 300 unit housing development land
- Attenuation lake formation controlling surface water run off from housing development and the River Hart
- 4.5 hectares of wetland and reed bed habitat creation complete with bird hide, boardwalk and dipping platform structures
- 3 miles of footpaths and tracks, 2 miles of ditch clearance, and 3.75 miles of fencing
- Large concrete culvert and water control pipework installations
- Street lighting and street furniture including signage, benches, lifebuoys and litter bins
- 40 hectares of landscaping including 17 hectares of meadow.
